Bookings
How do I book an appointment?
Booking starts with a short intake form on the Book Online page. I ask a few specific questions about your hair before making a recommendation. It's how I understand what I am working with before we've met. From there, I'll confirm the right session and you'll reserve your slot with a deposit.
Can I walk in or call to book an appointment?
Everything is handled online through the website. I don't take walk-ins or phone bookings because the intake process is how I make sure the session is right for your hair before you arrive.
Why do I have to pay in advance for my chosen service(s)?
A deposit secures your slot. I work with one client at a time across a four-day week, which means every cancellation is a session that can't easily be filled. The deposit is confirmation of a mutual commitment.
Full refunds are issued for cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance.
What are your business days and hours?
My schedule for each month can be found when you book your service, as my schedule varies throughout the week. The booking calendar reflects all free spaces in my working schedule for the working period (the current month).
How far in advance should I book my services?
Bookings open monthly. Returning clients tend to fill most of the available slots early, so new clients should book as soon as a month opens if they have a specific date in mind.
Why canβt I book for later in the year?
The calendar opens one month at a time. It keeps the schedule manageable and means availability reflects reality rather than provisional slots that shift.
The Sessions
What should I expect at my first session?
Every session starts with a conversation about your hair to understand what it's done before, what you're trying to achieve, and what's realistic. For colour sessions, this shapes the plan before anything is applied. For cuts, it's about understanding how your hair moves rather than just how it looks in the chair.
The session is private. It's just you and me in the space for the full duration. There's no waiting, no interruptions, and no rush.
What is the Hair Strategy Session and do I need one?
The Hair Strategy Session is a 30-minute working session for situations where the right path needs to be established before any service is booked. It's not a soft conversation. Instead, it's a proper assessment of your hair's history, condition, and what's actually possible.
You'll likely need one if:
- you're a new client dealing with grey and want to understand your options before committing to anything
- your hair has significant previous chemical history and you're not sure what it can support
- something has gone wrong before and you want an honest picture before proceeding.
Do you offer perms, rebonding/straightening, or keratin treatments?
No, these are chemical processes I don't work with. If you're considering any of them, I've written about what they actually involve, including the risks and what to ask before committing. Read the blog here.
Do you offer hair care treatments as well? I donβt see them on the menu.
Treatments are available as additions to any booked session, not as standalone services. Everything I use is sourced specifically for the hair types I work with. If your hair needs a treatment as part of the session plan, I'll include it.
How do I know which colour session is right for me?
The intake form on the Book Online page handles the matching. I ask about your colour history, natural base, your goal, and what you're actually willing to maintain. Based on that, I'll tell you which session makes sense and why.
If the idea is more complicated (significant previous chemical history, a correction, or grey hair you're not sure how to approach), a Hair Strategy Session first gives us the full picture before any service is confirmed.
Are there any colour services you don't offer?
Yes. I don't change base colours. For dark South Asian hair, a base change creates a regrowth line from the first week and, since I don't offer standalone root touchups, the maintenance falls elsewhere from that point. That's not something I'm willing to set up.
I also don't do reds, coppers, burgundy, or vivid colours on South Asian hair. These tones work against the natural warm undertones in dark hair and require a maintenance cycle that defeats the purpose of low-maintenance colour.
If you're not sure whether what you want falls into either of these categories, the intake form will surface that quickly.
I have grey hair. Where should I start?
With the Hair Strategy Session. Grey hair isn't one problem and doesn't have one answer. The right approach depends on how much grey you have, where it sits, and what your colour history looks like.
I've worked with women at every stage of this, from early greys they want invisible to full silver they want to wear properly. There is always a path but it needs to be assessed before it can be planned.
Practical Details
Do you offer deals, offers, or discounts?
No, pricing reflects the work and not a negotiating position. If a session isn't within budget, the honest conversation is about which service makes sense now and what to plan for later.
Iβm visiting Karachi for a really short period. Can I book last minute?
Last-minute availability is rare. If you visit Karachi regularly, the straightforward solution is to book before you arrive. The intake process can be completed from anywhere in the world.
Can I bring my children to the salon?
Sessions are one-on-one and involve chemicals and tools throughout. Children aren't able to be in the session space. Please arrange childcare in advance.
What modes of payments are accepted?
Deposits for services are made via bank transfers, and the remaining service amount is paid via cash on the day of your appointment
Is the session completely private?
Yes. The space is exclusively yours for the duration of your appointment. There are no other clients present and no interruptions. Everything that happens in the session stays controlled.
